Even as we work to gather information, we reiterate our concern about repeated Russian<\/span> and Russian<\/span>-supported incursions into Ukraine<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Russia<\/span> has no right to send vehicles, persons, or cargo of any kind into Ukraine<\/span>, under any pretext, without the government of Ukraine<\/span>‘s permission.<\/p>\n

The escalation in Russian<\/span> activity designed to destabilise Ukraine<\/span> in recent weeks is extremely dangerous and provocative.<\/p>\n

It includes supplying separatist <\/span>fighters with tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery and multiple rocket launchers.<\/p>\n

The continued Russian<\/span> military intervention into Ukraine<\/span> is entirely at odds with legitimate efforts to provide humanitarian assistance and negotiate a peaceful resolution to the overall crisis.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Replace Russia<\/strong><\/span> with USA<\/span> and Ukraine<\/strong><\/span> with a country of your choice: Syria<\/span> (1949), Korea<\/span> (1951-53), Iran<\/span> (1953), Guatemala<\/span> (1954), Tibet<\/span> (1959), Cuba<\/span> (1961), South Viet Nam<\/span> (1963), Brazil<\/span> (1964), Viet Nam<\/span> (1966-75), Chile<\/span> (1973), Argentina<\/span> (1976), Afghanistan<\/span> (1979-89), Cambodia<\/span> (1979-89), Turkey<\/span> (1980), Nicaragua<\/span> (1981-87), Libya<\/span> (1986), Panama<\/span> (1989), Somalia<\/span> (1992), Bosnia<\/span> (1995), Kosovo<\/span> (1999), Afghanistan<\/span> (2001-present), Iraq<\/span> (2001-present), Libya<\/span> (2011) or Syria<\/span> (2011-present)<\/p>\n

Replace separatist<\/strong><\/span> with (in alphabetical order) communist, contra, exile, fascist, guerrilla, islamic, jihadist, military, mujahidin<\/span> or rebel<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Die Argumentation wonach “der Westen das ja auch gemacht habe und Russland das nun auch d\u00fcrfe” ist abstrus. Dennoch m\u00fcssen sich USA und EU den Vorwurf der Heuchelei und des Messens mit zweierlei Ma\u00df gefallen lassen. Die Glaubw\u00fcrdigkeit und moralische Autorit\u00e4t des “Westens” geht in diesem Zusammenhang in Richtung Null, da tats\u00e4chlich s\u00e4mtliche Vergehen, die man Russland anlastet, in der Vergangenheit und in der Gegenwart auch vom “Westen” begangen wurden und werden. .<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
