    Anfang 2021 hatten sich die Färöer um eine eigenständige Mitgliedschaft in der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) beworben. Schon im Mai desselben Jahres folgte die Aufnahme. Jetzt haben die zu Dänemark gehörenden Inseln auch einen Antrag auf Mitgliedschaft in der Welthandelsorganisation (WTO) gestellt.
