Qualche giorno fa l’autorevole settimanale economico britannico The Economist ha pubblicato alcuni dati del dossier Doing Business 2015, edito dalla Banca Mondiale. E lo ha fatto sotto il titolo Where not to invest in Europe (ovvero: dove non investire in Europa), corredato del grafico qui riprodotto:

Ease of doing business 2014.

La linea rossa indica gli anni necessari, nel relativo paese, per far rispettare un contratto ricorrendo a un tribunale, mentre la linea azzurra indica il tempo necessario a risolvere un fallimento aziendale.

La risposta è chiara: Fra i paesi in cui l’Economist sconsiglia di investire in Europa al terzo posto c’è l’Italia — e quindi anche il Sudtirolo. Anzi: La situazione del Sudtirolo può dirsi aggravata dall’estrema vicinanza geografica di due paesi come l’Austria e la Germania con performances estremamente migliori.

A livello mondiale l’Italia si trova dietro a paesi come Macedonia, Colombia, Messico, Bulgaria, Romania, Ruanda.

    Wenn wunderts? Ob an der Situation in grecce, slovenia und italy die sezession Südtirols ändern würde darf aber bezweifelt werden, es bedarf vielmehr europaweiter Strukturreformen

      Wie kommst du auf die Idee, dass Südtirol die Probleme von Griechenland, Slowenien und/oder Italien lösen könnte?

        Nun, dies ist der Grundtenor der mich stört. Die Probleme in den entsprechenden Ländern bleibt ja gleich, ich denke nicht dass dies die Argumente für die Unabhängigkeit sein sollten.
        Und bei Rumänien (!) und Bulgarien von weltweit zu sprechen, ist falsch. Das ist aber eher ein redaktionelles Problem.

        Ich halte das Dabeisein und gemeinsam Untergehen nicht für eine besonders kluge Form der Solidarität. Die Probleme gehören (am besten im europäischen Rahmen) gelöst, doch die Lösung »weitere Zentralisierung auf nationalstaatlicher Ebene« halte ich gerade für den verkehrten Ansatz.

        Erst kürzlich hat Gabriele den beachtlichen Satz geschrieben:

        Pare dunque che la questione meridionale, nata con l’Unità  d’Italia, sia destinata a sparire solo mediante la fine di questa unità .

        Dem kann ich wenig hinzufügen.

    Interessant ist auch die Grafik in der SWZ in welcher die Höhe der Staatsverschuldung Italiens der Höhe des BIP seit 2005 gegenüber gestellt wird. Die Statistik stellt dar was wir bereits wissen. Man kann daraus aber auch ein Zukunftszsenario ableiten, das jedem vernünftigen Mensch sagen wird, dass Südtirol besser aufgehoben ist wenn es von Italien unabhängig wird.
